HOW IT HAPPENED

The Saints of Saint Lawrence got out fast as they finished the first quarter with a commanding 6-1 lead over the Lakers.

Shae McConnell scored at the 3:23 mark of the first quarter, assisted by Madison Davis.

The Lakers scored the first two goals of the second quarter, bringing the contest within three.

Julia Quirk scored both goals in the second quarter for the Lakers, one unassisted and the second assisted by Davis.

The Saints scored five unanswered goals after Quirk's second in the second stanza, bringing the Laker deficit to 11-3.

At 11:26 of the third quarter, Isabella Lembo added the Lakers fourth goal, assisted by Logan Castiglione.

The Saints scored seven in a row from here to bring their lead to 18-4.

Oswego scored three goals in the final five minutes of the contest, Castiglione with the Lakers fifth goal and Sela Wiley with her first and second goals of the contest, one with 3:33 remaining, assisted by Castiglione and the final Laker goal scored with 1:39 remaining.
