HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After singles by Paul Tammaro and Kyle Lauria in the opening frame, Lukas Olsson tallied a base-hit of his own, plating Tammaro to jump out to an early 1-0 lead.

  • Olsson proceeded to take second base on a steal, and scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Tishawn Featherstone to put the Lakers up 2-0.

  • Blake Van Dreason, Colin Williams, and Tammaro opened the second inning by reaching base, allowing Ryan Enos to tally an RBI sac fly and increase Oswego's lead, 3-0.

  • Lauria and Olsson added two more RBI's in the inning to give the Lakers a commanding 5-0 lead after two innings.

  • After a Weiss double to start the third inning, Julian Drew tallied his first RBI of the game to make it 6-0.

  • The fourth inning went by quietly for both teams, but Oswego made up for it by putting up five runs in the fifth inning, increasing their lead to 11-0.

  • Featherstone, Drew, Tammaro, and Lauria each recorded an RBI in the inning, with the fifth run scored by a wild pitch.

  • The aggressive Oswego offense would relax for the rest of the game, resulting in a 11-0 victory after the game was called in the seventh due to darkness.

  • Pecchia started the game and went five scoreless innings, striking out two and only allowing two hits.

  • Sharma came in to close out the remaining two innings, striking out three and retiring every batter he faced.

  • Senior experience showed on offense as Tammaro, Lauria, Olsson, Drew, and Weiss finished the game a combined 11-for-16 with seven RBI's and seven runs.
