ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Lacrosse team fell in a hard fought battle to the Red Dragons of Oneonta this afternoon. Sela Wiley continued her tear over opponents this year with seven goals in the contest. Shae McConnell scored five goals. Wiley and McConnell accounted for 13 of the Lakers 14 goals

HOW IT HAPPENED

Just 46 seconds into the contest, Wiley scored her first of many in the contest, setting the tempo.

Oneonta went on to score three in a row to regain the lead.

Wiley scored her second of the contest at 8:06 of the first quarter, bringing the Lakers within one goal.

The Red Dragons scored two to end the opening quarter, extending their lead to three goals.

Wiley came out with one focus, to get the game tied up. She did just that with three goals in just 1:58 of game time. Wiley's fifth goal was assisted by Sophia Ruschin.

To this point it was the Sela Wiley show, scoring her five goals on just five shots.

The turning point of the game was when Oneonta scored five unanswered goals, giving the Red Dragons the 10-5 lead.

McConnell went on to score three goals in a row for the Lakers, bringing the Green and Gold within three goals (12-9).

Madison Davis added a goal of her own just after assisting McConnell's third goal.

The fourth quarter proved to be just as offensive as the rest of the contest.

10 goals between the two teams were scored in the final quarter.

Wiley, Ruschin and Mcconnell were of the players scoring in the fourth.

Oswego got within three of the Red Dragons in the quarter, but were unable to close the gap.
