ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Oswego State baseball team dropped a non-conference matchup this evening versus the Yellowjackets of Rochester. Ryan Enos and Kyle Lauria both went yard for Oswego, while Thomas Pecchia threw three scoreless innings in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Kicking off the first inning, Enos continued his stellar season by belting a solo homer to left field to put the Lakers up 1-0.

Rochester quickly answered in the bottom half of the frame, scoring four runs on only two hits to make it 4-1.

Oswego would go down quietly in the top of the second, while Rochester added two more runs to go up 6-1.

In the top of the third, Paul Tammaro led off the inning with a double down the left field line, followed by an Enos hit-by-pitch to put two men on with no outs.

Lauria took advantage, blasting a three-run homerun to left field to narrow the Yellowjackets lead, 6-4.

Rochester would strike again in the fourth and fifth innings, scoring one run in each to take an 8-4 advantage.

Oswego pushed runners in scoring positions in the final three innings, but would ultimately fall to the Yellowjackets 8-4.

Pecchia threw three scoreless innings on 43 pitchers for the Lakers, striking out one batter and only allowing two hits.
