PITTSFORD, N.Y.  – The No 16 Oswego State baseball team dropped their second non-conference contest in a row this evening against the St. John Fisher Cardinals. HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Kyle Lauria then walked, loading the bases before Lukas Olsson continued his offensive tear with a three-RBI double to the opposite field, bringing the Lakers within two runs.
  • After a successful defensive inning in the bottom of the third by Sean Dertinger, the Lakers came back in the top of the fourth to tie the contest.
  • Ryan Weiss reached first on a hit-by-pitch and after a pair of Laker outs, Colin Williams walked.
  • Tammaro singled to load the bases again for Oswego and Enos was hit by a pitch, bringing in the Lakers' fourth run.
  • Next up was Lauria who walked to bring in the tying run. The Cardinals would hold the Lakers to those two runs.
  • In the sixth inning, with one out Tammaro was hit by a pitch, the third of the game for the Lakers.
  • Tammaro advanced to second base on a wild pitch and then Enos was also hit by a pitch, putting runners on first and second.
  • Just after a pitching change for the Cardinals, Lauria singled to right field, scoring Tammaro to give Oswego their first lead of the contest.
  • The score remained a one-run game in favor of the Lakers until the Cardinals tied the contest with a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the eighth inning.
  • Lauria got into scoring position in the ninth with a two-out double, but Oswego could not capitalize.
  • In the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lakers found themselves in a jam after walking the leadoff hitter after a long battle at the plate.
