OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Lacrosse team hosted the New Paltz Hawks. Seven's all around as Ryan Eccles (3G, 4A) and Max Brodman (4G, 3A) both put seven points on the scoresheet, earning their seventh win in a row. Sophomore Gavin Elston added five goals of his own. The Lakers showed a dominant offensive display winning 18-10.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Q1

• Oswego opened up the scoring with Corey O'Connor assisting Brodman.
• With 8:47 on the clock, Ryan Eccles set up Gavin Elston for his 19th goal of the season. 
• New Paltz snapped the two goal run by the Lakers, Oswego led 2-1.
• Eccles and Elston connected two more times in less than a minute, giving Elston his hat trick with 5:11 left in the quarter.
• With an extra man on the field, New Paltz scored to make the score 4-2 in favor of Oswego.
• Elston picked up his fourth goal of the game with 3:42 on the clock.
• Eccles scored his first goal of the game to put the Lakers up 6-2.

Q2

• After gaining the opening draw control of the quarter, the Lakers' O'Connor scored.
• With 12:03 on the clock, New Paltz scored after picking up a ground ball.
• New Paltz scored less than two minutes later to make the score 7-4.
• After a successful clear attempt, New Paltz scored again to bring the deficit to two, 5:06 remained in the first half.  
• New Paltz scored again, ending the half with Oswego up 8-7.

• Brodman assisted Elston for his 23rd goal of the season with 13:31 on the clock.
• Three minutes later, Brodman picked up his second consecutive assist after Eccles scored, the Lakers were up 10-7 at this point. 
• In the last 7 minutes of the quarter Brodman, Gray, and Ryan Dumont all scored to make the score 13-7. 
• This was a huge three goals as the Hawks could not go on a run to tie the game up after this point. 

Q4

• New Paltz opened the scoring for the quarter with 12:56 on the clock. 
• Oswego responded with a goal of their own within two minutes to go up 14-8.
• New Paltz scored with 10:26 on the clock. 
• Brodman scored his second goal of the quarter to go back up by six goals again, Lakers lead 15-9.
• Brodman completed his hat trick with 6:16 on the clock.
• New Paltz scored to bring the deficit back to six, but it wouldn't be enough.
• The Lakers closed out the game scoring two goals in the last two minutes as Liam Sexton scored both.
