CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Soccer team took their first victory this evening over the Cazenovia Wildcats in the 2022 campaign. The Lakers poured on the offense, earning seven total goals by FIVE different goalscorers. Graduate student Graisa Madden and sophomore Katie Delgrosso both added two goals in their time played. In the second half Oswego extended their lead from 2-0 to 6-0 in the matter of just two minutes and 58 seconds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers took off in the offensive zone right out of the gate, with two consecutive corner kicks in the first five minutes of the contest, the Wildcats were able to keep Oswego off of the board.
- Oswego scored at the 17:30 mark of the first half, Delgrosso took the first goal of the 2022 season for the Lakers.
- It continued to be all Lakers in the first half as Cassidy Ademec earned her first career collegiate goal and scored the second goal of the contest for the Lakers with an assist by Madden.
- This goal was scored at the 30:04 mark shortly after a corner kick and proved to be the last goal of the half.
- Oswego held the Wildcats to only one shot in the first half.
- The Lakers continued their offensive dominance, scoring THREE goals in just one minute and 36 seconds of the second half.
- Madden scored the Lakers' third and fourth goals just 40 seconds apart! Madden's second goal was assisted by Maggie Riordan.
- Luigina Serrao then scored the Lakers' fifth goal just 56 seconds after Madden's second tally.
- Within a span of two minutes and 58 seconds the Lakers took the game from a 2-0 game to a 6-0 game.
- Oswego's Delgrosso netted the sixth goal with an assist from Sara Marinaro.
- At the 61:15 mark after multiple shots from Emma Rechtorovic and Gabriella Martinez, Marinaro scored her second and the Lakers' final goal of the contest. Martinez assisted the goal.
- Cazenovia had an offensive spark at the 74th minute, but the Laker defense held strong, not allowing a shot on goal.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will turn around to host SUNY Canton at 1:00PM on Saturday for their first home contest of the season at Laker Turf Stadium.
