OSWEGO, N.Y.  –  The Oswego State Cross Country team hosted their first event in five seasons this afternoon. At the beautiful Fallbrook Facility of SUNY Oswego, the Lakers' Ellie Decker and Faith Coyle finished second and third of 44 runners in the invitational on the Women's side.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Andrew Deming finished first for the Lakers in 18th out of 96 runners with a time of 18:01.5. 

• Miguel Tineo Reyes finished 24th with a time of 18:16.4. 

• Henry Rose came in at 38th with a time of 19:06.5

• Ben Lamsma took 58th and finished the 5k in 20:10.9. 

• Dairo Reyes, just behind Lamsma, finished in 20:29.9.

• Brad Laquidari and Jack Hickey finished the race side by side with a time of 20:39.4 and 20:39.7. 

• Dominick Angradi and Matthew Morrison also finished just two seconds apart. 

• Joseph Gleason and Chris Dorney also finished just two seconds apart with times of 20:46 and 20:48. 

• Tom Mahunik crossed the line at 21:31.3. 

• Ellie Decker finished second overall in the Women's division with a time of 20:44.5 and Faith Coyle finished right behind her as she posted a time of 21:10.6 for the Lakers. 

• Freshman Cristina Gaskievicz came in top ten in the invite with a time of 21:58.1. 

• Julia Weaver crossed the line at 26:16.1 for 31st position out of the 44 runners. 

• Jackie Janicki finished on the beautiful Fallbrook course at 31:30.3 

• Joy McClinton, the freshman, finished in 39:09.4.

The Lakers will travel to Rochester for the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Saturday, September 17 starting at 11:00AM.
