OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Soccer team took on the Golden Knights of Clarkson, taking their first win away from them since 2017. This also marked Brian McGrane's 100th win at Oswego State. This is McGrane's 15th season at Oswego State as the Women's Soccer head coach. Congratulations Coach McGrane!

HOW IT HAPPENED

The majority of the first half was very lopsided as Clarkson was putting on the offensive pressure in the first 40 minutes of the contest.

Oswego would not go into the second half with zeros on the board as Jefferson Station, N.Y. native Jackie Marquardt netted the first goal of the contest, Brianna Winkler assisted the Laker tally.

The home squad wouldn't stop there as they added another tally less than two minutes later.

Sara Marinaro scored the Lakers second and ultimately, game-winning goal at 42:10'.

The second half was much more even as both sides had multiple opportunities to score.

Clarkson broke through at the 67' mark, cutting their deficit in half.

The Golden Knights continued their relentless pursuit for their second and game-tying goal but the Lakers held them to only one as they earned the 2-1 victory.

The Lakers' depth shined through in this one as four of their seven shots, both goals and the Lakers' lone assist came from players off of the bench.
