BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Soccer team suffered a SUNYAC loss to the Brockport Golden Eagles this afternoon by a score of 1-0. With a back and forth battle, Brockport got the edge early in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The beginning stages of the contest were back and forth between each teams offensive zone.

Oswego took momentum starting at the 20-minute mark, firing three shots at the Brockport goalkeeper as well as earning a corner kick.

At the 33-minute mark, the Lakers drew a yellow card, but continued their offensive attack through the duration of the first half.

The score remained 0-0 at the end of the half.

Oswego started with the momentum in the second half, but was halted by the Golden Eagles at 51:24 when Brockport broke the stalemate.

Frustration set in for both teams as the officials dealt out three yellow cards in just 6:57 of play in the second half, two for Oswego and one for Brockport.

Jean Pierre Moquillaza put a shot on goal in the 78th minute in hopes for a tying goal, the Brockport goalkeeper had other ideas, sustaining their lead.

With just 16 ticks remaining Jason Wuytack in a last-ditch effort shot one on goal but again was met by the Golden Eagles goalkeeper to damper the Lakers' hopes of a tie.

Kyle Gehnrich led the Lakers with three shots.

Matt D'Arpino finished off the contest with four saves in the net for Oswego.
