OSWEGO, N.Y.  –  The Oswego State Women's Tennis team battled in a SUNYAC match against the Knights of Geneseo, falling by a final score of 9-0. 

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Alyx Sperling and Rafaela Dimitrakopoulou took on first doubles but were blanked 8-0. 

• Emily Lussier and Debora Win were defeated in second doubles in the 8-2 final.

• Geneseo took third doubles by default, putting them up 3-0 early going into singles play. 

• Sperling took first singles, Geneseo went up 4-0 with the 6-1, 6-0 set score. 

• Jenna Wilson took one set from the Knights in second singles, falling 6-0, 6-1.

• Dimitrakopoulou led the Lakers, taking five sets from the Knights but ultimately took the loss 6-2, 6-3 in third singles.  

• Lussier in fourth singles battled back, stealing four sets from Geneseo. 

• Win, in fifth singles took three sets in the first match and one in the second match. 

• Mattie Wallace took two sets in the sixth singles matchup, falling 6-2, 6-0. 

WHAT'S NEXT

Oswego will take to the road against SUNYAC opponent Oneonta at 1:00PM on October, 1.
