CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Soccer fell to conference foe Cortland this afternoon by a score of 4-0. The Laker offense was stifled by tough Red Dragon defense which proved to be the difference in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Cortland got their offense going early and often unlike most of the Lakers' opponents this season, scoring three goals in the first half.

Oswego kept battling on the offensive end, but tough Red Dragon defense only allowed one Laker shot in the first stanza.

In an effort to change the tide in the second half, Haley Muehl got the nod in goal for the Lakers.

Cortland scored their fourth and final goal at the 59:49 mark in the second half.

A corner kick by Emma Rechtorovic set up Jackie Marquardt with a header shot, but the effort was shut down by the Cortland goaltender.

Oswego went down rather quietly for the rest of the half, putting up one more shot before the final buzzer.

Muehl recorded three saves in the second half for the Lakers.
