Chastin Giles scored a combined 28 points to lead the Oswego State Women's Basketball Team to a crucial 53-48 home victory over Plattsburgh. The win breaks a five-game skid and moves the Lakers to 12-7 on the season and 5-7 in SUNYAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego started strong in going up 12-7 midway through the first quarter behind a pair of baskets from sophomore Julia Logana.
- Plattsburgh would finish the frame on an 11-4 run to take an 18-16 lead during the first break.
- Giles would put up nine points in the second quarter to help Oswego to a 33-28 lead at the game's mid-point.
- The lead would grow to 12 points in the third quarter at 40-28 before the Cardinals chipped it back to seven heading into the final stanza (42-35).
- Logana and fellow post Elaina Johnson would hit crucial buckets down the stretch to quell any Plattsburgh hopes of gaining the momentum.
- With the lead down to a single possession in the final minute, senior Logan Castiglione hit a clutch free throw to put the game away.
- Hoefs packed the stat sheet with 15 points, eight rebounds and five steals while Giles added 13 points and six boards.
- Logana just missed a double-double with eight points and 10 rebounds.
- Oswego outshot Plattsburgh 36.8% to 32.8% during the contest.
