HOW IT HAPPENED
-
The first set was very much so back and forth between the Lakers and Mustangs offenses.
-
Oswego made it 22-21 in favor of the Mustangs with a kill by Cara Simplicio, unfortunately the Mustangs scored three of the next four points, taking the 25-22 set one victory.
-
The second set was more of the same before the Mustangs found their groove and went on a four-point run to go up 13-9.
-
Morrisville found themselves up 18-12 before the Lakers went on to score nine of the next 12 points to tie the set at 21 a side.
-
Oswego was up 23-22 but the Mustangs had other ideas, taking the next three points and the set 25-23.
-
Set three was different from the first two, multiple runs from both sides found the set tied at 20 a piece.
-
Morrisville was trying to end it and go home early and the Lakers were hoping to stay alive and force set four.
-
Morrisville found another run, scoring six of the final eight points including two in a row to win the set 25-22 and match.
-
Georgia Farry led the Lakers in kills with 10, followed by Grace Taylor with eight and Sydney Chiffriller with six.
WHAT'S NEXT
Next the Lakers will go back to the North Country in Plattsburgh on October 6th for a 6:00PM matchup.
