MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Women's hockey headed to Morrisville for a Friday afternoon matchup with the Mustangs. The Lakers used a strong 3
rd period to push past the hosts for their first SUNYAC win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers jumped out in front early thanks to a goal by Rachel Corbett just 58 seconds into the game and wouldn't relinquish the lead for the rest of the evening.
- The first period would come to an end with the Lakers still only up by one goal but it was a period in which they controlled the play, outshooting the Mustangs 11-2.
- The 1-0 scoreline would continue to hold through most of the 2nd period until Sophia Kyrkostas was able to find the back of the net at the 17:06 mark of the period to give the Lakers a 2-0 lead.
- The first two frames would come to an end with Oswego leading 2-0 on the scoreboard and 24-7 in shots.
- The Lakers' efforts would finally pay off in the 3rd period as Myah Booth added another tally 7 minutes into the final frame to give the Lakers a 3-0 lead.
- The Mustangs would pull one back shorthanded before Mack Hull iced the game with an empty net tally to give the Lakers a 4-1 lead with just 1:19 remaining in the game.
- Ashlyn McGrath would manage to add one more to the score sheet with 38 seconds left in the game to finish with a final score of 5-1.
- The Lakers outshot the hosts 41-13 in the game.

th Ranked Cortland Red Dragons on Friday 11/17.
