BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Men's Hockey team hit the road to take on the Golden Eagles in Brockport, looking to extend their win streak to start conference play. A clutch third period goal and strong performance in net would push the Lakers to a 2-1 victory.

Final Score: Oswego 2 (5-1-0, 4-0-0 SUNYAC), Brockport 1 (2-4-0, 1-3-0 SUNYAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- An even first period saw the Lakers and Golden Eagles remain at a scoreless draw.
- The Lakers held a slight lead in shots on goal, 13-11, at the conclusion of the first frame.
- The Lakers finally broke through 2:17 into the middle period thanks to an unassisted goal by Rocco Andreacchi.
- The Lakers would hold on to the slim lead for most of the second period until Nick Serafin managed to tie the score at 1 with 5:33 remaining in the period.
- Brockport would come out strong in the third period, but it would be Matt McQuade finding the back of the net for the Lakers against the pace of play to give the Lakers a slim 2-1 lead.
- For the remaining half of the third period, Brandon Millberg would put together a tremendous effort in goal, stifling every opportunity for the hosts to even the score.
- Brockport would put 19 shots on target in the final frame but were unable to find the back of the Oswego net and the game finished with a Lakers victory 2-1.
