OSWEGO, N.Y. – Oswego Men's Basketball hosted the Plattsburgh Cardinals for a late Saturday afternoon conference matchup. The Lakers' consistent offensive and defensive play allowed them to pull away with a 101-72 victory and continue their 7-game win streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED

From the tip-off, the Lakers opened in their offensive zone with a good three-pointer from Jeremiah Sparks.

The Cardinals quickly responded, and both teams would go on to exchange buckets.

Oswego began to mount their lead at the 18:00 mark of the first half, when the Laker players took turns making multiple jumpers and recovering a handful of rebounds.

Despite this, Plattsburgh did not let up, regaining a 17-17 tie about halfway through the first.

The Lakers would close out the first half of the game with a 25-point lead (55-30) over the Cardinals.

As second half play opened, Oswego's defense shut down Plattsburgh and transitioned quickly, extending their lead to 67-39 just 10 minutes into play.

The Lakers continued to bring the heat, capitalizing on 6 of 8 free-throw opportunities and making multiple deep three-pointers.

The second half ended with the score standing at 101-72, securing the Lakers' 7th straight win of the season.
