OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Lakers hosted the Cortland Red Dragons this afternoon. The Lakers were unable to get the team win, despite having some wrestlers who won their bouts. On behalf of Oswego State Athletics, we would like to wish the best of luck to our three 2023 seniors, Kian Pacheco, Logan McGloine and Paul Wehr in their future endeavors.

• Final Scores:  Oswego 13 , Cortland 24

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the 157 pound division, Logan McGloine won by decision, earning three points for the Lakers.

• Charlie Grygas was able to win by major decision in the 174 pound division, earning four points for the Lakers. 

• Anthony Vasquez won by fall in the 285 pound division, earning six points for Oswego. 

• Joey Ribitzki won by decision in the 149 pound division in exhibitions. 

• Kevin Arriaza took down his opponent in exhibitions by way of fall at 5 minutes.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Lakers will travel to Allentown, Pennsylvania next Sunday to participate in the Futures Mideast Tournament. The tournament is set to start at 9am on February 19th.
