OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Lacrosse team won their home opener against Morrisville on Saturday, stabilizing their record at 1-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Oswego scored twice in the first period, keeping pace with Morrisville. Max Brodman scored the first goal of the game with 12:46 left. Corey O'Connor scored with 1:23 left off an assist from Liam Sexton. It was the only goal to come off a man advantage for the entire game.

Gavin Elston scored the first two goals of the second period, one of which came off another assist from Sexton.

Sexton scored a goal for himself with 7:57 left, and Morrisville scored once at the end of the period, making the game 5-3 Oswego.

Brodman scored again off another assist from Sexton in the third period with 7:23 remaining. Morrisville scored twice late, and the game was 6-5 entering the fourth.

Morrisville took a 7-6 lead early in the fourth, but Oswego came roaring back.

Sexton had another assist, this time to Connor Aspinal, who tied the game with 5:31 remaining.

Gavin Elston had another goal to take the lead with 4:12 left, and Tyler Scordo followed that up with a goal with 3:55 left. This sealed the win for Oswego, who took the game 9-7.
