OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Lacrosse team hosted Hartwick this evening. Five different Lakers were able to score goals this evening as the men fell to the Hawks. Gavin Elston led the way for the Lakers with two goals on the evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Hartwick was able to get up on the Lakers early, with a goal coming in just a minute into the contest.

Gavel Elston netted the first goal for the Lakers, with 12:02 remaining in the quarter. Elston was assisted by Jack Delany.

Hartwick netted another goal to give them a one point lead with almost eight minutes left in the quarter. Oswego netted two more goals before the end of the first to give them a 3-2 lead over the Hawks.

Garrett Petrelli scored the second goal of the afternoon for the Lakers with 5:55 remaining in the contest, tying the game at two; Petrelli was unassisted on his goal.

With just under a minute and a half remaining in the first, Max Brodman passed to Jason Dongelewic who was able to score and give the Lakers their first lead of the afternoon.

The Hawks held the Lakers in check in the second quarter, netting three goals of their own while holding Oswego scoreless in the quarter. The Lakers had more shots in the quarter but were unable to get past the goalie. Hartwick led six to three going into halftime.

A minute into the third quarter, the Hawks extended their lead to four. This led to Elston scoring his second goal of the evening, with 12:55 remaining in the quarter. Elston was assisted on his goal by Corey O'Connor.

Hartwick added two more goals before the end of the third, giving them a five point lead going into the final quarter of play; Oswego trailed 4-9.

The Hawks refused to let the Lakers back into the game, netting another pair of goals less than two minutes into the quarter.

Jack Delany netted a goal for the Lakers with 13:15 remaining in the contest, receiving the assist from Tyler Stevenson. Oswego trailed 11-5 at this point.

No goal would be scored for almost ten minutes before Corey O'Connor netted the final goal of the afternoon for Oswego. O'Connor was assisted by Hayden Coney with 4:40 remaining in the contest.

Hartwick added one more goal before the end of regulation, giving them the 12-6 victory over the Lakers.

Aiden Kenyon recorded nine saves in goal for the Lakers during the contest. Three Lakers were credited with two points during the match, Gavin Elston, Jack Delany, and Corey O'Connor.
WHAT'S NEXT
The men will be traveling to Galloway, New Jersey to take on Stockton University on Saturday, March 18th. The game is set to begin at noon.
