PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Oswego State Women's Lacrosse team traveled to Pittsford this afternoon to take on the St. John Fisher Cardinals. Following a close first half, the Cardinals pulled away from Oswego in the second half and secured the seven goal victory, ending the Lakers three game win streak.

Final Score: Oswego State 6 (3-2), St. John Fisher 13 (3-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead with a goal coming in just a minute and a half into the game.
Sela Wiley responded with a goal two minutes later, tying the match at one. Wiley was unassisted on her goal.
Both teams would score two more times, tying the match at three going into the second quarter. Scoring the other two goals for Oswego was Shae McConnell and Julia Quirk, both goals unassisted. Quirk's goal gave the Lakers a one point lead, until the Cardinals scored their second goal with a minute and a half remaining in the first.
Sela Wiley opened up the second quarter with her second goal of the afternoon, coming at the 12:53 mark. The Cardinals responded with three goals of their own, giving them a 6-4 lead over the Lakers.
Julia Quirk recorded her second goal of the afternoon with less than five minutes remaining in the second quarter. Neither team would score in the final minutes of the second quarter and the Cardinals held a one point lead over the Lakers going into the second half, leading 6-5.
The Cardinals got the best of the Lakers in the second half of play, giving up just one more goal to the Lakers. The lone second half goal was scored by Isabella Lembo, with 7:59 remaining in the third.
St. John Fisher added seven more goals in the second half of play, giving them a seven point victory over the Lakers, defeating them by a score of 13-6.
Goalkeeper Sarah Kamide recorded 14 saves this afternoon.
