ALFRED, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Lacrosse team fell to the Alfred University Saxons by a score of 13-5. The Lakers struggled to find their scoring touch in the first half, but played more competitively in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Saxons blanked the Lakers in the first half, taking a 7-0 lead entering the final 30 minutes.

After Alfred scored to open the third quarter, the Lakers scored four straight goals in a short amount of time.

The first goal came from Max Brodman with five minutes remaining in the third quarter. The next goal was scored by Gavin Elston with 4:33 remaining, off an assist from Liam McAlary.

Trey Jones had an unassisted goal with 3:54 left, followed by another Brodman goal with 3:02 left, off an assist from Liam Sexton.

Alfred made it 9-4 before the end of the third quarter, and opened the fourth with two more goals.

Elston made it 11-5 with a goal at the 11:22 mark of the fourth quarter.

Alfred added two goals shortly after to solidify their 13-5 victory with nine minutes remaining. Neither team scored after that point.

The men will resume their SUNYAC schedule when they play against the Geneseo Knights in Oswego on Saturday, April 22.
