OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Lacrosse team fell to the Geneseo Knights on Saturday, marking their first SUNYAC loss of the season.

Final Score: Oswego State 5 (6-4, 4-1 SUNYAC), Geneseo 15 (11-4, 5-1 SUNYAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED

The only goal scored in the first period was by Geneseo, and they took a 1-0 lead into the second.

The Lakers tied it up less than a minute into the second period, off a goal from Gavin Elston with an assist by Max Brodman.

Geneseo rattled off five straight goals to take a 6-1 lead late in the first half. Elston scored again with 2:44 left to make it 6-2.

Elston netted a hat trick with 8:06 left in the third period, but Geneseo scored three more times in the third to take a 9-3 lead.

The fourth period progressed very much like the third period, this time with an early goal from Chris Schmidt off an assist by Liam Sexton. However, Geneseo found more success offensively, scoring five goals. Late in the game, Jack Delany scored to make it 14-5.

Geneseo grabbed another goal and walked away with a 15-5 victory.
WHAT'S NEXT
The men will continue their SUNYAC schedule on Wednesday, April 26 when they face the Cortland Red Dragons in Cortland.
