BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Lakers competed in the University at Buffalo Alumni Invitational on Saturday. Nine schools showed up to compete. The Men's team finished the invite in third place of eight teams and the Women's team finished fifth of nine teams.

Faith Coyle finished fourth in the Women's 400 meter dash with a time of 1:02.20. She also finished fifth in the 1500 meter run, completing the race in 5:01.41.

Ellie Decker finished second in the Women's 5000 meter run, less than ten seconds behind the winner with a time of 18:36.86.

Rhiannon Butchko finished fourth in the Women's high jump with a height of 1.55 meters.

Abigail Conpropst finished fifth in the shot put with a distance of 8.55 meters, but she really shined in the discus throw, finishing in a solid second place with a distance of 26.19 meters. She rounded out a great performance in the invitational with a fifth place finish in the hammer throw, throwing for a distance of 30.94 meters.

Aidan Harrington earned a top ten finish in the Men's 100 meter dash, running in a quick 11.20 to finish ninth. However, he showed out in the 200 meter dash, posting a time of 23.74 to win the event. He ran a 51.37 in the 400 meter dash to take third place.

Nathan Couse finished ninth in the Men's 5000 meter run with a 15:53.96.

Alex Reyes, Daniel Mars, Harrington, and Matthew Broadnax finished second in the 4x100 meter relay, posting a time of 43.15.

Michael Saavedra finished seventh in the shot put with a distance of 13.21 meters. He also finished fourth in the discus throw with a distance of 33.58 meters. Alexander Kline was close behind in fifth.

Kline finished fourth in the hammer throw, throwing for 33.37 meters.

The Lakers will compete in the Central New York Cortland Invitational on Tuesday, April 25.
