Women's Soccer Falls To Hamilton

OSWEGO, N.Y.  –  The Oswego State Women's Soccer team faced off against the Hamilton Continentals this afternoon. The Continentals offense broke through and didn't look back, earning the 2-0 victory over the Lakers.

Final Score: Hamilton College 2 (1-0-2,  NESCAC 0-0-2)  Oswego State 0 (2-1-1, SUNYAC 0-0-0)

Location: Laker Turf Stadium, Oswego, N.Y.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • With an honorable and strong start to the game, the Lakers put up two shots and had two corner kicks within the initial 11 minutes of the first period.

  • Three consecutive saves by goalkeeper #27 Perri Anderson were made at 53:33, 62:05 and 80:27 marks of the contest to hold the Continentals at bay. 

  • It was a clean game with no cards being assessed throughout the duration of the contest. 

  • The Lakers stayed strong and were able to deny the Continentals from scoring an additional goal through the end of the second half.

The Lakers will remain at Laker Turf Stadium on Saturday, September 16th at 4:00PM for a thrilling match against the St. Lawrence Saints!
