CANTON, N.Y.  –  The Oswego State Volleyball team was head to head with Alfred State and SUNY Canton today. Landslide for the Lakers winning 3-0 followed by a 3-2 win with Canton for Oswego.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The match started with the Pioneers being subtly outplayed by the Lakers with them pulling ahead slightly and gaining ground with all three periods the Pioneers losing ground. 

• Congrats to Niah Dias with a Pct. of 0.500 for the Pioneers game.

• Round three against the pioneers played the biggest threat to Oswego with Alfred state holding ground for 21 points. 

• Oswego walked away with the first W with 3-0 for Alfred State.

• Second tier of the double header was a steep battle for the Lakers against SUNY Canton. 

• Oswego led in every competitive stat compared to the Kangaroos. 

• Dynamic of the rounds was Kangaroos keeping score close respectively to the Lakers, with the Lakers being able to pull slightly ahead.

• Due to strong resistance and strong tactical resolve, the game dragged on for 5 long and arduous rounds. 

• Thanks to a strong push the last 3 rounds the Lakers were able to claim back to back victories.

Next the Lakers will come home to Oswego for a matchup with Morrisville State College Tuesday October at 6:00pm.
