ONEONTA, NY – The Men's Basketball team headed to Oneonta on Tuesday night for a conference matchup with the Red Dragons. The Lakers would use a strong second half performance to head home with a comfortable 79-55 win.
 
THE BASICS 
Final Score: #10 Oswego 79 (11-1, 5-0 SUNYAC), Oneonta 55 (4-8, 1-3 SUNYAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Despite the differences in records for the two sides, the first half would be a tightly contested period in Oneonta.
• Both sides would trade points back and forth through the first ten minutes until the Lakers would manage to carve out an eight-point lead for themselves with around 8 minutes remaining in the half.
• Oneonta would use the remainder of the half to chip away at the Lakers' lead and the home side would take a 32-30 lead with 2:10 remaining in the half.
• The game appeared to be heading into halftime tied 32-32 until Jeremiah Sparks knocked down a 3-pointer with 3 seconds remaining to give the Lakers a three-point lead at the half.
• The Lakers would jump into the second half firing on all cylinders beginning the half by outscoring the home side 21-3 to set the tone for a half where they would outscore the Red Dragons 44-23 and secure a 24-point victory.
• Jeremiah Sparks led the Lakers offense with 17 points while Jamal Achille and Ahkee Anderson would each contribute 13 points apiece.
• Cartier Bowman would also add 10 rebounds on the evening.
