OSWEGO, NY – The #10 nationally ranked Men's Basketball team hosted the Cortland Red Dragons on Saturday afternoon in what turned out to be a thrilling game for the home crowd that came down to the final seconds of the game, but ultimately a Lakers win by a score of 65-63.
THE BASICS
Final Score: #10 Oswego 65 (12-1, 6-0 SUNYAC), Cortland 63 (6-7, 3-3 SUNYAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cortland started the game, jumping out to an early 7-2 lead over the Lakers before the Lakers clawed back to even the score 10-10.
- The Lakers would then go on an 11-0 and looked poised to pull away at the midway point of the first half, but the visiting Red Dragons would begin to close the gap as the half concluded and the first frame would end by a score of 34-28.
- The second half would begin with another quick start from Cortland as the Red Dragons would put themselves in the lead 41-39 after the first three minutes of the half.
- Oswego would regain the lead with 12:41 remaining in the half and but Cortland would continue to match the Oswego baskets, not giving the Lakers any breathing room through the remainder of the half.
- The Lakers would enter the final seconds of the game leading 65-63 and Cortland's Kendall Arcuri would attempt a three-point shot as the clock expired which would bounce off the rim and out securing the Lakers narrow 65-63 victory.
- Jeremiah Sparks would be the lone double digit scorer for the Lakers as he would score 27 points while securing 7 rebounds.

The Lakers will return to action with a road trip to New Paltz where they will take on the Hawks at 7:30pm on January 16
