OSWEGO, NY – The Women's Hockey team hosted the Potsdam Bears for the second time in under 24 hours on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers would pick up the weekend sweep with a 5-0 win over the visitors.

Final Score: Oswego 5 (8-6-1, 6-3-1 SUNYAC), Potsdam 0 (6-8-0, 2-6-0 SUNYAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In an evenly played first period, both the Bears and the Lakers would trade chances, but it would be the home side that managed to break the deadlock as Ashlyn McGrath found the back of the net at the 11:38 mark of the first period.
- The Lakers would carry their 1-0 lead into the second period where the offense would explode, led once again by Ashlyn McGrath as she added her second goal of the afternoon just 2:13 into the middle frame.
- Rheya Zemlak and Kensie Malone would contribute goals of their own around the midway point of the period to give the Lakers a comfortable 4-0 lead heading into the final period.
- The Lakers would spend most of the third period limiting the Potsdam chances while working the clock down, but Mack Hull would manage to squeeze in one final goal for the Lakers at the 19:38 mark of the period icing the game and a 5-0 victory for the Lakers.
- Ashlyn McGrath would finish the game with 2 goals and 1 assist while Kensie Malone would contribute 1 goal and 2 assists to the effort.
- Hannah Skavnak recorded 20 saves in her Saturday afternoon shutout.
