Men's Basketball Dominates Buffalo State

BUFFALO, N.Y. –SUNY Oswego men's basketball played their second game in two days on Sunday afternoon at Buffalo State. The Lakers dominated the Bengals tying their second highest point total of the season, 101-74.
 
The Lakers Jamal Achille knocked down a three on the first possession setting the tone for the afternoon. That was followed by a fade away from Ahkee Anderson and a Jeremiah Sparks three. The Oswego offensive was hot early against the Bengals. Within just three minutes of play, Oswego had built a ten-point lead. In the first five minutes of the game, Oswego shot a scorching hot 80% from the field and three while only allowing five points to Buffalo State. It did not take long for the Lakers to build a twenty-point lead that ballooned to thirty before the end of the half. The Lakers scored their highest first-half total of the season with a 64-28 lead over the Bengals at halftime.
 
It was all Lakers once again in the second half as they maintained a thirty-point gap between them and their hosts. Oswego forces the Bengals into fifteen turnovers while only producing five of their own. The Lakers bench scored fifty-two points in a total team effort this afternoon. Thirteen different Lakers scored in the winning effort and five of them were in double figures. Jeremiah Sparks led all scorers with twenty-two points followed by Julien Crittendon with nineteen.
