OSWEGO, NY – The Women's Hockey Team hosted Plattsburgh for the second time in less than 24 hours on Saturday afternoon looking to keep up the momentum from their victory on Friday evening. The No. 4 ranked Cardinals would carry an early lead to victory defeating the Lakers 4-1.

Final Score: Oswego 1 (6-6-1, 4-3-1 SUNYAC), #4 Plattsburgh 4 (10-2-1, 7-1-0 SUNYAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Plattsburgh jumped out to a quick start with a goal 2:03 into the first period and then a second at 5:21.
- Oswego would continue to battle through the remainder of the first period but would struggle to get opportunities against the Plattsburgh defense recording just 4 shots in the first period.
- The visiting Cardinals would manage to add one more to their tally with 2:08 left in the period to go into the first intermission up 3-0.
- The 2nd period would begin in Plattsburgh's favor again as they would net one more goal 5:30 into the period to take a 4-0 lead.
- Oswego would manage to reduce the high danger opportunities for the Cardinals over the second half of the game keeping the visitors at just 4 goals on the afternoon.
- Oswego's offense was able to breakthrough as the clock expired in the 2nd period as Lauren Schell managed to get one over the line in the final second of the middle frame.
- Neither team would be able to get past the other's defense in the 3rd period and the game finished with a 4-1 scoreline.
- Oswego was able to limit the Cardinals powerplay as Plattsburgh would go just 1/5 on the powerplay while the Lakers special teams were held scoreless in 3 opportunities.

The Lakers will be home again next weekend as they host a weekend series with the Potsdam Bears on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 3pm.
