DUNKIRK, NY- Oswego Women's Soccer traveled to Dunkirk, NY, to face SUNY Fredonia. The Lakers were able to get on the scoreboard early, as they coasted to a 2-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

On a Saturday afternoon in Dunkirk, NY, Oswego was able to craft a balanced offensive game plan spearheaded by Lynnane Russell. Russell's fingerprints were all over the Laker's attack as she played a part in both goals scored by the Lakers. Only 3 minutes and 30 seconds into the game, senior captain Katie Delgrosso was able to beat the goalkeeper to put the Lakers up one-nil. Delgrosso was assisted by Russell. The Lakers were able to register an impressive nine corner kicks to Fredonia's zero in the 1st half. 

Coming out of halftime, the Lakers picked up right where they left off. The Lakers continued to punish the Blue Devils' defense as they created quality opportunities throughout the half. It was at 56:25 when Lynnane Russell was able to boost the Laker lead to 2. Russell's goal came unassisted. The Lakers finished the match, doubling the Blue Devils total in shots (22-11). Senior goalkeeper Perri Anderson was able to maintain her consistent play as she picked up another shutout.
