POTSDAM, N.Y. – Oswego Men's Soccer hit the road to take on the Potsdam Bears on Wednesday night in another conference match-up. The Lakers were looking to build a winning streak after defeating Fredonia at home over the weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
It did not take long for the high-powered Lakers to take the lead in this match-up. In the 16^th minute, Tajay Ellis broke through to score the first goal of the game for Oswego with the assist from Ethan Caruana. In the 26^th minute, the Bears struck back and snuck one past the Lakers keeper after a throw in from the sidelines. The two teams continued to battle the remainder of the first half, but they entered the break at a 1-1 tie.

In the second half, the Lakers and Bears have went back and forth exchanging scoring opportunities with neither team being able to capitalize. The two teams both created 4 shots on goal with ten minutes remaining in the second half. The Bears had a chance late in the second half after a yellow card to the Lakers goal scorer Tajay Ellis, but they were unsuccessful. In the final minute, neither team was able to produce a shot and the Lakers finished once again in a SUNYAC tie.

WHAT'S NEXT 
Men's soccer will return home this Saturday September 19^th for a conference match against Plattsburgh. The Lakers will celebrate their seniors before the game, starting at 12:00 PM.
