POTSDAM, N.Y. – Oswego Men's Soccer hit the road to take on the Potsdam Bears on Wednesday night in another conference match-up. The Lakers were looking to build a winning streak after defeating Fredonia at home over the weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It did not take long for the high-powered Lakers to take the lead in this match-up. In the 16
th minute,
Tajay Ellis broke through to score the first goal of the game for Oswego with the assist from
Ethan Caruana. In the 26
th minute, the Bears struck back and snuck one past the Lakers keeper after a throw in from the sidelines. The two teams continued to battle the remainder of the first half, but they entered the break at a 1-1 tie.
In the second half, the Lakers and Bears have went back and forth exchanging scoring opportunities with neither team being able to capitalize. The two teams both created 4 shots on goal with ten minutes remaining in the second half. The Bears had a chance late in the second half after a yellow card to the Lakers goal scorer
Tajay Ellis, but they were unsuccessful. In the final minute, neither team was able to produce a shot and the Lakers finished once again in a SUNYAC tie.

Men's soccer will return home this Saturday September 19
th for a conference match against Plattsburgh. The Lakers will celebrate their seniors before the game, starting at 12:00 PM.
