Coyle is the SUNYAC Women's Runner of the Week for Second time

OSWEGO, NY - The SUNYAC has released their weekly awards for men's and women's cross country. Oswego's own Faith Coyle was announced for the second time this season as the Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week!

The Lakers cross country teams took to the road for their fourth meet of the season at the Fredonia University. Senior Faith Coyle from Lake Hopatcong, NJ, finished Second overall for the women with a time of 23:01.5 behind only one runner from RIT.

The last time Faith won this award her coach Juan Martinez had this to say, "... Being named the SUNYAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week is a testament to her talent and commitment." After being named for a second time this season, head coach Juan Martinez  said" She's a hard worker. Good things happen when you follow the training plan and race day tactics." There is no doubt that Faith has been one of the most dominant runners in the conference and this performance and award only backs that up. The cross country team will look to continue making strides as they continue their season.

Next up, the Lakers will take part in the SUNY Geneseo Invite on October the 19th at 11:00 am in Geneseo, New York.
