CORTLAND, NY- Oswego Women's Soccer traveled to Cortland, NY, to face SUNY Cortland. The Lakers couldn't find the back of the net, as Cortland's defense shut down the Lakers offense in a 3-0 defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Oswego went toe to toe with rival SUNY Cortland in the 1st half. Cortland holds a perfect 3-0-1 record in-conference. On a cold and rainy day, the Lakers out-shot the Red Dragons 5-4 as well as picking up three corner attempts to Cortland's 4. The Lakers had a few scoring chances that they were unable to convert on. Nonetheless, it went into the halftime break with the game scoreless.
Following the intermission, Cortland was able to outshoot the Lakers 10-4 in the half. Haley Loscalzo was able to break the stalemate at 72:02 off a deflection that went off her and into the net. Loscalzo's goal came off a cross, one of 6 corners on the half for Cortland. 5 minutes later, Tyla Vuotto lifted the Cortland lead to 2-0 off of her right foot. Lastly, at 86:28, Piper Klammer was able to put the finishing touches on the bout as she extended the Red Dragon lead to 3.Â
