HOUGHTON, NY – The Oswego Lakers men's and women's track and field teams were in action for the first time this semester when they hit the road for the Houghton December Classic hosted by the Houghton University Highlanders.

HIGHLIGHTS
Cory Morton finished 3
rd in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.11 which lands him 7th all time in Laker history!
Tom Mahunik finished 5
th in the men's 600-meter (1:26.43).
Aidan Harrington finished 5
th in the men's 300-meter (36.79).

Cory Morton finished third in men's 4x400 (3:53.49).

rd in the men's 4x200 (1:34.75).
Noah Melita made an impressive debut in the men's 5,000-meter running a time of 15:56. This is the first time in 5 years a men's indoor track athlete has run a time under 16 minutes for the Lakers.
Jacob Mitts, with a result of 9.91, earned a personal best in the men's shot put.
Rhiannon Butchko took home second in the women's high jump with a result of 1.57.
Elena Gaffney finished in the top 5 of the women's 5000 meter in her debut. With a time of 18:57, she now ranks 4
th all-time in Oswego history in the women's 5000-meter!
Daniel Mars set a new Oswego Lakers record in the men's 60-meter with a time of 7.05 making him 1
st all time in school history! Mars also finished first in the men's 200-meter with a time of 22.89.

After returning from winter break, the Lakers will head to the Utica Winter Opener on Friday January 17
th in Utica, NY.
