HOW IT HAPPENED
Fiona Higgins started on the mound for the Lakers, striking out the first two Lycoming batters.
The game would remain scoreless until the bottom of the second, where a Lycoming runner would make her way to home plate following an infield error. A deep hit to left field would bring home two more runs for the Warriors, as they exited the second inning ahead 3-0.
The Lakers would bring in senior pitcher Ellie Mahoney in the fourth, and Lycoming's success would continue, as they drove in one more run before the inning was over.
Oswego in the fifth inning showed some promise, as the Lakers had the bases loaded with just one out against them. A single from Grace DiPalma would bring home Oswego's first run, and a walk the second.
Chelsea Sellars would come in to pitch in the bottom of the fifth, and Lycoming would get one more run, followed by another in the sixth, extending their lead to 7-2 with one inning to play.
The Lakers couldn't get anything going in the seventh, as the Warriors walked away with a 7-2 win over the Lakers
