LEXINGTON, S.C. - The Oswego State Baseball team took on the Arcadia University Knights in Lexington South Carolina Wednesday afternoon. After grabbing a 3-0 lead over the Knights in the second, both teams would take turns pushing runs across. Oswego excitingly walked it off in the bottom of the nineth to grab a 9-8 victory over the Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The senior
Nick Cody got the start on the mound for the Lakers against the Knights.
The Lakers were the first to get on the board in the bottom of the second when
Jelani Hamer doubled down the right field line and was then sent home by a single from
Jacob Levine.
Colin Williams smashed a double next that scored Levine and VanDreason giving Oswego a 3-0 lead.
The Oswego bats stayed hot in the third when
CJ McCarthy hit a double to left followed by a single from Owen parliament.
Jelani Hamer was hit by a pitch to load the bases, Arcadia committed a balk, and the Laker lead increased by one. Parliament went on to score on a fielder's choice, and later Hamer stole home to make the Oswego lead 6-0 after 3 innings.
The Knights got on the board with three hits in a row in the fourth, but the Lakers maintained the edge, 6-2. Arcadia added two more runs in the fifth as well.
In the fifth, Levine singled homed
Jelani Hamer who doubled down the left field line. The Lakers went to a pitching change in the sixth bringing in Mason Sanders. Arcadia tied the game up at 7 in the top of the seventh, but Oswego came right back in the bottom of the inning when
CJ McCarthy walked and ended up scoring on an error by the Knights.
Matthew Drillings came in to pitch the 8
th inning for the Lakers working a scoreless and hit-less inning. The Knights squeezed in a run to tie the game at 8 in the ninth with the Lakers having one last chance in bottom of the frame to break the tie.
Owen Parliament got things started with a two out walk.
Jelani Hamer was up next and once again was hit by a pitch, putting runners on first and second. The hero of the day was
Jacob Levine who singled through the right side and scored Parliament for the walk off victory over Arcadia!

Tomorrow, the Lakers will take on Case Western Reserve once again at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium starting at 2:30 PM.
