HOW IT HAPPENED
Oswego was on the offensive to start out the game. Sela Wiley took the first shot on goal just 24 seconds in. At the 12:28 mark, Isabella Lembo scored goal number one of the game to put the Lakers on the board. Six minutes later, from behind the net Katie Fierro passed to Cassidy Croce who scored through an open spot on the left side. This sparked an aggressive offensive push for Oswego. Noelle Smith scored goal number three for the green and gold, soon followed by Sadie Zemanick and Lembo each netting one. The Lakers ended the first quarter with a big 5-0 leg up over their opponent.

Potsdam put themselves on the board just over a minute into the second quarter. A ground ball pickup in Oswego territory put the Lakers on the offensive push once more. Sophie Ruschin scored goal number six in a free position and a minute later Julia Quirk scored in the same fashion. Lembo was quick to get by defenders and score with a shot on the left side, bumping the score 8-1. The Laker sticks were lit on fire as they scored an additional three goals, each within a minute of the last, to bring their total to 11. Lembo intercepted a goalie pass, rushed the goal but made a wide shot on the left side.

To open the second half, Wiley's shot to the top of the goal found the back of the net just over a minute into play. The next minute Quirk scored again to net the thirteenth goal. With the Lakers now in defense, the Bears scored from a free position shot. Likewise, Lembo had possession in a free position shot and scored at the top right of the net bringing the score up even further 14-2. Oswego additionally netted another two goals in the last three minutes of the third quarter.

The Bears scored their third goal at 13:39 in the fourth quarter by sweeping around from the back of the net and taking a low shot. Oswego retaliated by scoring another two goals, the first was Lembo's sixth of the game. At 7:29 Fierro scooped up a ground ball and whipped it to the bottom of the net. Jaelynn Aldrich scored goal number 20 with a man-up. With less than a minute remaining in the game, Alexis Hill scored the final goal of the game in a free position shot to bring the game to a close with the Lakers dominating the Bears 21-3.
