GENESEO, NY – The SUNY Oswego men's and women's track and field teams were in action Friday and Saturday at the SUNY Geneseo Early Season Invitational.

HIGHLIGHTS
Friday:
Henry Rose finished 20
th in the men's 10,000 meter with a time of 34:48.67.
Ellie Decker finished 14
th in the women's 10,000 meter with a time of 43:11.88.
Jacob Mitts had a result of 28.24 in the men's hammer throw, and
Veronica Mejia had a result of 22.41 in the women's hammer throw.
Saturday:
The team of
Michael-Daniel Vodzogbe,
Daniel Mars,
Ernest Venable Jr., and
Matthew Broadnax captured the win in the men's 4x100 with a time of 44.02.
Daniel Mars finished second with a time of 11.28 in the men's 100 meter! He was followed up by
Matthew Broadnax finishing 10
th (11.67) and
Michael-Daniel Vodzogbe finishing 16
th (11.80).
In the men's 200-meter,
Daniel Mars finished second with a time of 22.72. That is a personal record for Daniel and puts him seventh all time at SUNY Oswego in the men's 200!
In the women's 5000-meter,
Cristina Gaskievicz ran a time of 18:52. This marks the first time she has broken 19 minutes and ranks her third all time at SUNY Oswego in the women's 5000-meter!
In the men's 5000-meter,
Andrew Deming ran a time of 16:06.68 setting a new personal record for himself.
Rhiannon Butchko had a result of 1.50 in the women's high jump finishing third overall.
