Dertinger faced some pressure following the Laker's rally, allowing a few baserunners before getting a double play and a timely ground out that allowed the Lakers to maintain momentum.
Rosenberg started the third with a deep double to left field where Vandreason continued with his hot bat at the plate with a double to hit Rosenberg home. The Lakers went up 8-0.
Dertinger was able to get another double play in the bottom of the third that would end the Cardinal's chances at adding any runs to the scoreboard.

Featherstone started off the top of the fourth with another hit for his third on the day and was able to spark another. McLaughlin was also able to push another run across with a tough ground ball to third that forced an awry throw that would score.

Featherstone made the score 9-0. Barone would get a part of the action with his first RBI of the game; coming in the top of the fourth where they smacked a single to left field that would push McLaughlin across the bag making Oswego take an unmistakable 10-0 lead.
