OSWEGO, N.Y. - The SUNY Oswego men's soccer team hosted RPI on Saturday afternoon for their second home match of the season. After trailing in the first half, the Lakers offense exploded for two goals in the second half earning their second consecutive victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
To start the first half the Lakers had a large advantage over RPI in time of possession. Oswego created a few shot opportunities but was not able to find the back of the net even off one corner kick. RPI however, broke the 0-0 tie halfway through the first half with a nice pass into the box finished off by RPI's Owen Schnur. The 1-0 lead would hold until the second half.
In the second half, Oswego came out with renewed energy. Testing the RPI defense constantly.
Tajay Ellis chased down a long pass but was tackled in the box resulting in a penalty kick for the Lakers. Ellis buried it and tied the game up at 1 in the 66
th minute of play. Twenty minutes later,
Kyle Gehnrich delivered a towering free kick into the zone and
Benjamin Brooks fired it past the RPI keeper to give Oswego a 2-1 lead with less than ten minutes remaining. The two teams battled for possession in the remaining time, but Oswego secured their 4
th win of the season over the Engineers on Saturday afternoon.

The Lakers will waste no time and hit the road for SUNY Delhi tomorrow afternoon for a 3:00 PM game.
