CANTON, NY. - The Lakers traveled to SUNY Canton to take on the Kangaroos, and finished with a dominant 10-2 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers started out a little flat footed, as the Kangaroos went shot-for-shot with them for the first ten minutes. Despite this slow start, Anthony Zolezzi held strong in net, and Mike Urgo found Travis Baker across the ice, who gave the Lakers a 1-0 lead half way through the first.
Canton found some footing after that, getting one goal back with five to play in the first. Connor Gatto responded a minute later, assisted by Justin Ryan, giving the Lakers a 2-1 lead going into the second period of play.
The Lakers came out of the locker room flying in the second period, as Travis Baker scored his second goal of the night just 58 seconds into the period. Cam Symons found Matt McQuade five minutes later to make it 4-1. Brandon Cohen found the net twice, and Matt McQuade found it one more time in the second to make it a 7-1 game.
Jesse Horacek scored eight seconds into the third period, making it 8-1,before the Kangaroos would net one more goal to cut down the deficit.
Daniel Colabufo netted one more four minutes into the third, followed by Travis Baker completing his hat trick with five minutes left, which would close out the game with a 10-2 victory for the Lakers, with Anthony Zolezzi allowing just two goals on 25 shots on net.
