How it Happened
Two shots in quick succession began the game early on, one for each team, and after a long and hard-fought first twenty minutes, the Cardinals struck first on the foot of Rocco Ruscitto, which was his second goal of the season. The Lakers continued fighting hard with two more shots, but a second goal put in by the Cardinals doubled their lead just ten minutes before halftime.
After being issued a red card, Oswego found themselves down a man for the rest of the match. The Lakers battled hard with even soccer for the next thirty minutes, with neither team able to create any chances; however, with just fifteen minutes to go, Robbie Kapovic capped off the game with Plattsburgh's third goal.
Sophomore Goalkeeper Kyle Rose recorded five saves despite the tough game, and senior Benjamin Brooks, senior Ethan Caruana, and Junior Tajay Ellis all recorded shots on target.

The Lakers return home this Wednesday to host the Buffalo State Bengals at Laker Turf Stadium, with kickoff set for 4:00 PM.
