Oneonta, NY. - The SUNY Oswego men's and women's swimming and diving teams made a powerful statement at the "O" Town Splash Battle Spectacular against SUNY Oneonta, claiming decisive victories on both sides. The Lakers women won convincingly with 163 points to Oneonta's 58, while the men secured a strong 132–89 win.

How It Happened:
The Lakers women set the tone early with a clean sweep in the 1000-yard freestyle. Izzy Dague led the charge with a first-place finish (11:54.19), followed by teammates
Emily Seldin and
Kaitlin Wheeler in second and third.
Bella McDonald continued the momentum with wins in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:08.18) and 500-yard freestyle (5:47.92), showcasing Oswego's depth in distance events.
In sprint events,
Katherine Burch earned a strong second-place finish in the 50 free and returned to take second in the 100 butterfly, while
Jayna Laferriere dominated the 100 freestyle (55.87).
Oswego also controlled the stroke events, with Dague winning the 100 backstroke (1:07.57),
Emily Lotito claiming the 100 breaststroke (1:13.84), and
Joscelyn Coniski capturing first in the 100 butterfly (1:03.24).
The women capped off the meet with a first-place performance in the 200-freestyle relay behind Janeski, Coniski, Seldin, and Laferriere (1:46.76).
The men's team started with a second-place finish in the 200-medley relay, then surged ahead with a sweep in the 1000-yard freestyle courtesy of Jake Sarnowski,
Nathan Ratta Vine, and
Ryan Liedka taking the top three spots.
Sam Waddell had a standout day, winning both the 50 free (22.18) and 100 free (49.90), edging teammate
Duncan Smith in both events.
Oswego continued their dominance in the 100 butterfly, sweeping the top four positions led by
Mitchell Stevens (55.08), followed closely by
Jayden Hernandez and Nicholas Celentano.
Ratta Vine added an individual win in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.72), with teammate
Manav Sindhi close behind.
The 200 freestyle relay sealed the meet in dominant fashion as Waddell, Smith,
Owen Baker, and
Ryan Murphy sprinted to first place in 1:30.84.
On the boards, Finian Dolaway took second in the men's 1-meter dive with 141.00 points, while
Madelyn Van Bramer claimed second for the women with a score of 165.95.
