How It Happened:
Both teams were able to find success on offense in the first half of play. Plattsburgh struck first with an early goal from Junior Sydney Myers 16 minutes into the game. The Lakers answered with an impressive goal from First-Year Olivia Davis. 25 minutes into the game. Oswego finished the half with suffocating defense, with goalie Paytyn Crane recording 3 saves in the first half.Â
The second half was a back-and-forth battle defensively, with physical play from both teams. The Cardinals outshot the Lakers 13-8. Goalie Paytyn Crane finished the contest with 4 saves. After a scoreless second half, the contest ended in a 1-1 tie. The Lakers are currently in 5th place in the SUNYAC women's soccer standings with just two conference games remaining
