Oswego NY - The Oswego State men's basketball team opened its 2025–26 campaign in commanding fashion, rolling past Mount Saint Vincent 106–66 in the first round of the Max Ziel Tournament on Friday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium.

How It Happened
The Lakers' offense was firing on all cylinders from the opening tip, shooting an impressive 50.6% from the field while holding the Dolphins to just 36%. Oswego built a 19-point halftime lead (55–36) and never looked back, outscoring Mount Saint Vincent 51–30 in the second half to secure the 40-point victory.
Steven Bradley led the Lakers with 17 points, connecting on 4-of-6 shots and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
Jayson McGhee provided an explosive spark off the bench with 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while
Deacon Judd added 14 points and went 8-for-10 from the line.
Oswego's depth was on full display, as 57 of the team's 106 points came from the bench, with twelve different Lakers scoring.
Jorel Monroe (11 points),
Kobe Nwosu (8 points, 5 rebounds), and
Arthur Foster (8 points, 5 rebounds) were key contributors in the paint, helping Oswego dominate inside with 62 points in the lane.
Defensively, the Lakers forced 25 turnovers and converted them into 31 points, while limiting the visitors to just seven second-chance points.
