KEUKA, NY - Oswego traveled to Keuka, NY to take on the wolves in a non-conference tilt. The Laker's offense proved to be too much for the Wolves defense as they secured an 11-2 victory.
THE BASICS
Oswego 11 (4-3, 0-0 SUNYAC)
Keuka 2 (3-3, 0-0 Empire 8)
Keuka Park | Keuka, NY
HOW IT HAPPENED
Right from the opening whistle, the Lakers offense smothered the Keuka defense until the final horn blew. Despite Keuka scoring the first goal of the game for a 1-0 lead, the Lakers stayed composed and proceeded to pour on 5 unanswered goals. Three of the goals came from
Corey O'Connor and the other two came from
Hayden Coney. The Lakers took a 3 goal lead into the halftime break as the Lakers led by the score of 5-2.
Coming out of the 2nd half, it was much of the same effective formula for Oswego. The Lakers continued to put shots on net, as they finished the game with 25 shots on net. 12 of the shots came from O'Connor himself. It was a quiet game for Oswego's goalie Sheamus Hand as the Laker defense was able to neutralize the Wolves attack.
Corey O'Connor finished the game with a game high of 5 points.
