OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Men's Tennis team honored their graduating seniors while taking down the Nazareth Golden Flyers at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In a back-and-forth battle that came down to the final matches, the Oswego State men's tennis team pulled off a thrilling 5–4 victory over Nazareth on Saturday afternoon.

The Lakers came out swinging in doubles, capturing two of the three matches to gain an early edge. The top pairing of Anthony Marcano and Matthew Mannara were dominant, cruising to an 8–1 win at first doubles. At second doubles, Tyler Yhun and Colin Byer held on in a tight battle, securing an 8–7 victory to put Oswego ahead 2–1 heading into singles play.

In singles, Oswego found themselves in a tight race as Nazareth pushed back with strong wins at the top and middle of the lineup. But the Lakers' depth delivered when it mattered most.
 

• Matthew Mannara made quick work at second singles with a 6–2, 6–1 win.
• Colin Byer stepped up with a clutch performance at fifth singles, grinding out a 7–5, 6–4 win.
• Jose Miguel Garcia sealed the deal at sixth singles, winning 6–3, 6–4 to give Oswego the decisive fifth point.

Despite hard-fought losses at first and third singles, the team showed poise and resilience across the board.

With the win, Oswego improves its record and builds key momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
