OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego State men's tennis team continued its stellar season with a dominant 9–0 sweep over Alfred University on Friday, improving to 7–3 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
From start to finish, the Lakers controlled the match on every court. In doubles, the trio of pairings made quick work of their opponents.
Tyler Yhun and
Colin Byer set the tone early with an 8–2 victory at second doubles, followed by
Trevor Stern and Jose Miguel Garcia matching the score on court three. The top tandem of
Anthony Marcano and
Matthew Mannara closed out doubles play with an 8–5 win, completing a 3–0 sweep in team play.
Oswego's dominance only grew in singles action, where the Lakers didn't drop a single set.
Trevor Stern kicked off the singles sweep with a flawless 6–0, 6–0 win at No. 5, and the rest of the squad followed suit with equal authority.
Marcano (6–0, 6–2), Mannara (6–1, 6–0), and Yhun (6–0, 6–1) each cruised past their opponents, while Garcia delivered another clean sheet at No. 4 with a commanding 6–0, 6–0 performance. Byer wrapped things up at No. 3 with a decisive 6–1, 6–2 win.
